2017 Bencher Election Candidates - Correction

The Law Society of Alberta is pleased to announce 41 Alberta lawyers are standing for election to the Law Society of Alberta Board.

As set out in s.12(4) of the Legal Profession Act, as President-Elect, Mr. Donald Cranston, QC is considered to have been elected. Additionally, Mr. Bud Melnyk has been acclaimed for the Central region.

When can I vote?
Online voting opens on November 1 and runs until November 15 at 4:30 p.m. (MST). Voting instructions will be sent to eligible voters by email.

Please ensure the Law Society has your correct contact information by updating it using the Lawyer Portal. Additionally, check your spam filters to make sure you receive information from the Law Society.
When will the results be available?
The voting results will be made public shortly after the voting closes on November 15.
