The Benchers of the Law Society of Alberta approved the date of November 15, 2017 for the Bencher Election. The formal notice and request for nominations will be sent to all active practising members later this month.
Key Dates: August 15 - Official Notice of Election and request for nominations is sent to all active members.
September 15 - Deadline for submitting nominations to the Law Society's office is 4:30 p.m. (MST).
October 16 - Online voting information is sent to all active lawyers entitled to vote.
November 1 to 15 - Voting period. The deadline to vote is 4:30 p.m. (MST) on November 15.

Call for Child Support Resolution Officers in Edmonton
The Child Support Resolution (CSR) Program in Edmonton is seeking family law lawyers to help parties resolve their child support disputes. The CSR Officer’s duties include meeting with the parties for one hour, assessing the state of their financial disclosure, providing information about the Child Support Guidelines and mediating a resolution to the parties’ child support dispute.
